Use bible Book Order Memorization Game and Tool

Chronological Bible Group at GracePoint Wesleyan Church, Brookings, SD

Our Purpose, Goals, and Philosophy:       We are from a Sunday school class. We suggest that one's study of the Bible should include chronological (time) order study of the events and information. We further suggest that a chronological study will help lessen confusion, especially with events of the Old Testament. Also it allows one to compare the events of the Gospels.
We are also looking to equip and encourage people to lead others in chronological sudy of the Bible.

We also looking for input on how to do the above more effectively.
We estimate we are at less than ten percent of accomplishing our goals. If we find someone who has already done what what we plan; we plan to note their efforts and stop work on our reduntant efforts.

  • The chronological ordering helps to make sense of the historical aspects of the Bible
    • The two graphs side by side at the right show how the books of the Bible are put in time order and that some of the books are divided up so verses of various books that deal with the same topic are placed together.

Our History:

Before stating that our founder was born in a log cabin built with his own hands I probably should check a little more on details.
Actually our story is a lot like the story about Everybody, Nobody,Somebody, and Anybody mentioned in the
Overcoming reluctance to lead a study, attend a study, and do self study. section.

Up to September 2013 the class used an earlier version of the Tyndale chronological Bible shown at the right. This chronological Bible was just the text of the Bible divided into 365 daily readings. Outside of giving possible dates for events, it offered none of the footnotes, maps, timelines, section introductions, etc. of the version currently used.
